Days Hours, Minutes, Seconds and Milliseconds to 12 AM February 23, 2013!
As you know, our Council will be 100 years old on February 23, 2013. The following was discussed at the meeting held on December 20, 2011: Attendance: Rick Scott, Tom Boyle, Stan Buraczynski , Joe Luongo, Tom Shenko, Peter Weber, George Ferriso
The following items were discussed:
Dinner/ Dance: Contract was signed and deposit given to secure the date for our Centennial Dinner/Dance for Feb 23, 2013 at the South Gate Manor in Freehold. Cost will be $100. per person.
Commemorative Journal: Stan reported that he had contacted one printer and received a proposal for the Ad Journal as follows: 60 pages, color front and back page, black and white inside pages. 200 copies Cost: $1500 or $23-25 per page. We will look to more printers for pricing. We need to set the prices for the ads at the next meeting so that we can begin selling ads. Tom Boyle suggested Preston Sharpe who Tom will get in touch with. It was suggested that Mike O'Brien, Bill Maxwell would be excellent choices for Ad Salesmen. Rick will contact Rich Diaz to see if he can help us find a printer and lend his expertise.
Guests: Still stands at 28.
Mass: The date and time of the Mass have been set with St. Rose for Saturday, Feb 23, 2013 at 4 pm in the Church. Stan has been trying to meet with Fr. Jim to finalize the celebrants for the mass. He will try again after the Holidays
Publicity: Information is on Web Site and we need to get an article in the local publications. Joe Luongo will submit an article.
Protocol: The Knights have a strict rule on Protocol for events and this will be followed. As soon as we know who will be attending we will set up the Dias and order of Speeches.
History: No Report
Commemorative Pins, etc: Shirts and Pins are ready for orders and sales as of the February Council meeting. Orders for shirts must be prepaid and we have over 100 pins in stock for sale. We agreed to sell pins for $10.00 and other prices as mentioned in the minutes of the Sept 2011 meeting.
Music: Joe Luongo and Tom Boyle will work on finding a live band or DJ for the Dinner/Dance. This is urgent since musicians are booked a year in advance

Guest Cost for Dinner: 28X$100 = $2800.00 Music (Estimated) 1500.00 Misc.( Invites, Postage, Ads, etc) 1000.00 TOTAL $5300.00 Income Sources: $5.00 existing dues assessment = $3000.00 Sale of Shirts and Pins = 2000.00 Profit from Journal = 2000.00 Fund Raisers ???? 1000.00 TOTAL $8000.00 *
* Excess profits will be used to lower ticket prices and other items
Profit from the Journal will probably come in at about $6000.
The Committee was reminded that the yearlong festivities will start in February 2012 and continue for the entire year ending with the Gala Dinner Dance on Feb 23, 2013. Stan suggested that we hold a Kick Off Fund Raising Cocktail Party in February. Peter will check the calendar for a good date.
The next meeting of the Committee will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 8 PM in the Lounge Area Side room (Lower Level)
